My first Magnolia card

Good evening.  Today my Husband was home and while he was outside playing with our little soon to be two year old terror (aaahhh she's not that bad ... and she is as cute as a button) I managed to get a card completed.

I had previously coloured this Magnolia Tilda image in with copics, this is my first Magnolia stamp and my first attempt at colouring her.

I found some pits of scrapbook paper and some lovely flowers that I had picked up from a garage sale, finished off with a piece of ribbon and voila ..... my completed card.

Tickled Pink Stamp Christmas Challenge Card #3

Hello again.  Yep you guessed it ... my daughter is asleep and I've been creating.  She only had a really short nap today so I made a tag.

I used Tickled Pink's Lil' Lolita Fashionette - 50's Lilith stamp and coloured her in copics.  I made her a skirt from a piece of cut up paper doily and stuck some ribbon roses on top for a bit of extra texture.  I used spica pens on her eyelids to give her some 'eye shadow' and on her hair ribbon and collar.

I stuck the image down using glossy accents as I had run out of glue ... and ooopppssss!  I got some on her shirt ... so I glossy accented her shirt to cover it up.  I'm actually happy with the result as it gives another 'layer'.

I like how her little glittery shoes are peeking out from under her skirt.

The tag I just drew and cut out free hand (I hear there are templates for these kind of things but I thought a ruler and pencil would do just fine) and then threaded through some funky wool and a lovely piece of gold ribbon.

This is my 3rd creation I'm entering into this competition ... and its not because I'm being greedy and really want to win (although that would be awesome) its because I'm now totally addicted and I still had all the Christmas coloured stuff out on the table so thought 'why not'.

It takes me all afternoon just about to upload this stuff ....arrrgggghhh .... we only very very very slow internet!  Might need to upgrade I think.

Take a look at the other entries on Tickled Pink's Blog ... they are gorgeous!  I hope one day I can create as gorgeous cards as these girls.

Tickled Pink Stamp Christmas Challenge June 2011 Card 2

Been creating madly again .... during my daughters nap so its just another quick card.  I'm totally addicted.

I used my very first Tickled Pink Stamps Lil Haunts Ghost Willow but I added a little bit of puff paint at the end of her hood to make it look like a Santa hat.  The challenge had to include something handmade so my insy teeny pom pom is it :)  Yep its small ... but I made it myself and think its pretty cool.  I have the digital stamp so I probably could have printed her out a little bit bigger.
I coloured her in copic and mounted her on a shimmery piece of green card.  I'm not sure where the sentiment was from as I just found it in a box of bits and pieces.  I thought the sentiment was so perfect because it was a Christmas one but the word Spirit was just right as this gorgeous girl is a ghost after all.
I attached some gold ribbon (doesn't look great in the photo unfortunately) on some lovely cream card and then put it all together.

I think this image is gorgeous and I have been practising colouring her in many different colours.

I'm happy with the result.  Once again just a simple card .... but hey gotta start somewhere.

This one is a bit of a close up so you can see my cute little santa hat pom pom.
Cutting her out wasn't to hard as she is a lovely flowing shape.

Sorry about the lighting .. terrible dark and gloomy afternoon here today.

Also wanted to share with you how I store my copics.  I picked up this box quite cheaply and it fits the copic plastic cases in quite well.  It also closes over the top so its easily moved and stored.

Thankyou for looking at my creations and thankyou to those who have left lovely comments on my previous posts, your words bring such a huge smile to my face.

Copic Oz Challenge #11

Another day ... another challenge.  These challenges are so much fun and it certainly gives me something to complete.  This one I have done during my daughters afternoon nap ... so it was a really quick one.

Today I have printed out Dustin Pike's dragon with a kite image and coloured with copics.  The challenge was to use colours RV21, BV00 and G82.  I didn't have G82 so used G85 instead.

I wasn't happy with my kite so I coloured and stuck some flowers on instead.  I also didn't have any background paper to match ... so once again I improvised and ruled some straight lines using the same three copic colours.  I also highllighted some areas using the spica pens ... I love these because they really provide a special touch with minimal effort.

Its a very simple card ... but I like it.

and here is the finished card .....

Tickled Pink Stamp Ribbons & Lace Challenge

Good evening :)  Another night of frenzied card making!  Tickled Pink Stamps has a weekly challenge on their blog and this week it is Ribbons & Lace.
Well I thought I would give it a go using Lil' Lolita Fashionette 50's Lilith and so I coloured her in copic markers and highlighted some areas with spica pens.
Some bits were a little fiddly for me ... as a beginner (this is only my second card created!).  I carefully cut around the image .... hhhhmmmm must get some little craft scissors as it was no easy task with the kitchen scissors followed by my 2 year old daughters nail scissors.  Improvisation.

I then used some lovely We R Memory Keepers Yankee Doddles paper and a sticker.  Found a piece of white ribbon and a little flower .... but no lace!  Searched high and low for lace ... nope don't have any.  Improvisation ..... cut up my garter belt from my wedding 5 years ago ..... I'm sure my Husband will understand.
So with some improvisation, minimal material and very minimal experience ... here is my finished card.
Its quite hard to see the spica highlights but I thought they turned out very nice.  I put them on the shoes, skull, ribbon in her hair and collar.

I hope you like my card.  Thankyou to those who left lovely comments for last nights card ..... made me very happy.

more images for my Tickled Pink Christmas Card

My lovely Husband has just come into my little craft corner and shown me how to do the photos a bit better so I will add some more ..... He is so much more tech savvy than me, probably should of just asked him how to do it all in the first place.  But I'm rather pleased with myself that I managed to do all the previous stuff without his help :)

So that is my completed card!  I hope you like it.
Ok I really had better go to be now :)

Tickled Pink Stamp Christmas Challenge June 2011

Hello and Merry Christmas in June :)
This is my first ever Blog entry on my brand new Blog that I have created so I can enter a card competition run by my favourite Blog, Tickled Pink Stamps.  Wow the word Blog was used a lot there.
I am new to digital stamps and the concept of colouring images so I'm very proud of my first ever card!
I have been practising colouring images with my copics .... and alas I'm not fantastic .... but I'm thrilled with what I have created.

I saw the challenge on Facebook this afternoon and as soon as my gorgeous 2 year old daughter went to bed I got started on creating.

I coloured Vampire Lilith with copics and then started assembling my card before realising that I didn't have any embellishments that matched .... so .... I coloured in some flowers, a doily and a piece of ribbon with copics as well.  Wow!  I was very pleased with the outcome!

So I'm going to attempt to post my picture on this blog now .... have no idea what I'm doing so fingers crossed.

I have included a couple of images .. sorry about the glare of the light ... its now 10pm because it has taken me ages to work out how to get the photo onto my computer.  I'm not a tech savvy person.

I hope you enjoy my little creation .... did I mention I LOVE IT! and I'm so proud of it ......
I am officially addicted to papercraft and instead of just cruising around other people's blogs now I have one of my own to add to!
What an exciting night.
