Stamping With The Dragon - Spring

What time of the year is your favourite?  Mine has got to be spring!  Gorgeous flowers, cute baby animals and dragons hiding in bushes.

What?  you didn't see that dragon on your walk the other day?  Lucky I took a photo for you :)

This week over at Stamping With The Dragon we are having a Spring theme.  So head on over and check out the gorgeous projects from the Design Team and don't forget to enter your own.
I have used this gorgeous pre-coloured image from the store called Flutterbyes (here).  I printed it lots of times and then cut out certain elements again.  Then I stuck them down with double sided foam tape and added some glitter.  I made it into a cute little gift tag.

I hope you are enjoying the weather whatever the season .......and I thankyou for stopping by.  Keep your eyes peeled (what a funny saying) when you are out next ... you never know who you might see enjoying the sunshine.

There are so many gorgeous images over at the Whimsy Store .. but seeing that Easter is fast approaching I thought this little guy would do the trick.

I just love the little dance he is doing ..... well that's what it looks like to me.  My DH said it looks like he is afraid to step on the worm he he he.

I have embossed the background and used some lovely thick ribbons down the side.  The ribbons and flowers are from Kaisercraft.  The image is coloured in copic markers and you can find it here.

Mad For Markers - Fairy Ria and her Dragon friend

Hello :)  I hope you are having a magnificent day ...... and that you are getting some crafting done.

I am very excited to announce that I have been accepted as part of the Mad For Makers Digi Team!  You can find digi images here and there will be more on the way.

Here is a sample of the new digis for this month .... and you know how I LOVE dragons so I was super excited about this little cutie.

Sorry about the lighting ... the sun was going down and we have not had a sunny day since ..... here comes winter.

I turned these pretty little digis into bookmarks.  I saw this idea on another blog where you cut the corner off an envelope and then decorate .... what a fabulous idea!  I did mine double sided ... the first side holding the egg and the second side the egg has hatched.  I like how the wings stick out because it means I can find my page super easy!

Don't forget to check out the gorgeous creations from the Design Team!

Thankyou so much for stopping by ... I'm keeping it short tonight as I'm battling a cold .... so I think I'm just going to take my book and bookmark and head off to bed.  Goodnight. ..... see you again soon.

Stamping With The Dragon - Rupert Plays Rock

Another week is almost over!  Are you ready for the weekend?  Well Rupert is! He is ready to Rock and Roll!

I have used this fantastic image from Stamping Dragon Designs called Rupert Plays Rock.  I have coloured him in Copic markers C00 and C01.  Then for his guitar I have used 100 (Black) and BG07 and covered it with glossy accents to give it the shine of an electric guitar.  I also used some spica pens on certain elements of the guitar.  I was thrilled with how it turned out!

The background paper is also from Stamping Dragon Designs and it is called Rhapsody In Blue.  Unfortunately my camera couldn't quite catch the correct colour so it looks a bit faded here ... but it is a really lovely colour in real life.  I have stamped a sentiment up the top and gone over it with a black spica pen .. just to add a bit more shine.

The Design Team have created sensational projects once again ... so be sure to head on over to the Challenge Blog to check them out.

Thanks for stopping by .... and may your life be filled with music (and craft!)

Whimsy Stamps - Shape EZ

Hi there ..... it's nearly Easter ..... mmmmm chocolate!

And what better way to present your gift of mini chocolate eggs to someone than in a home made gift bag!

Shape EZ templates will enable you to create unique projects for every day use or use the templates to create special one of a kind projects.

These templates and cut files make your projects quick and "EZ" depending on your choice of embellishments.

These templates come with options, empowering you to choose to include extras such as windows, pockets, or even inserts of designer paper that will perfectly fit inside the base form.

Shape EZ is an exclusive product you can use over and over again from TLC with Whimsy - an affordable way to create in your way

You can hand cut or use a computerised cutting machine to cut these files.

I cut this Roll Bag out on just some plain cardstock and then stamped circles all over it. I have used the 'extras' that come with the file to make a tag .. but you could make a window in the middle of the bag with it too!

I've stayed with masculine colours as I want to use this for my 16 year old nephew's Easter gift ... so quick and easy to make that I won't be disappointed when I see him gobble up the chocolate eggs and then throw the bag in the bin ....

This is the view from the top ... there is plenty of room in there!

Don't forget to head on over to the Challenge Blog this week .... there are some amazing projects made with these very versatile cutting files!

Thanks for stopping by .... I'm off to have a chocolate (he won't know its missing) and a coffee.

Some news to share ....

Hi there fellow bloggers, crafters and my fantastic followers.  I know I have been MIA a bit lately and my cards have been a bit ... ho hum ... well the reason is that two weeks ago we decided to sell our house.

It goes for Auction in 4 weeks (scary!!) so we have been spending all our time preparing this house and desperately trying to find somewhere else to live.  We had found a house we loved but our offers were rejected ..... some of my family are in the real estate business and have been telling us that this house was overpriced ... and that we would find something else we would like ... we may have to rent a while etc etc ....

But we loved this house ....... :(

Well today our final offer was accepted!!!!!!  We may have paid to much but at the end of the day it is the house we wanted in an area we want!

So in the next few months we will be moving out of a bad area onto 1 Acre in a lovely country town!

Super excited!!!!!!  Fingers crossed that the Auction of this house goes well and that we sell for what we would like ........

So ................ my mojo is back and I can't wait to get colouring and creating tonight after my little one goes to bed.

No longer will my nights be taken up searching for properties .... !!!! yippeeeeeee

I'm so happy and I just wanted to share it with you all.

Big Hugs

Stamping With The Dragon

It's not easy being green ........ unless you have a big pot o' gold!

Welcome to another week of colourful fun at Stamping With The Dragon.  Life has been a bit hectic lately and there has been quite a lot of sadness and loss happening to people in my life .... so this is kind of a "look on the bright side" card ...... I wanted to create it in a sense of ...."celebrate what you have" ..... even though some are luckier than others or seem to have more of what we want  (like Rupert here with his four leaf clover and pot of gold, not to mention that fancy hat) .... we must treasure and appreciate what we 'do' have.

For my card I have used St Paddys Rupert and a sheet of digi paper from the Melon Ball pack from Stamping Dragon Designs.

I have coloured Rupert in copic markers and lots of lovely glitter glues.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects over at the Challenge blog ... and I look forward to see your entry into the challenge ... to be sure to be sure :)

Green & Yellow - are awesome colours for a card and make me think of home

Howdy mate :)  wink wink  Green and Gold are the colours for us Aussies .. so to use them for cards just had me thinking Australia the whole time ha ha ha......

The new challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons is
Green & Yellow
you will have heaps of fun with this colour combination and of course by entering your card in the challenge you could win a fabulous prize.

For this challenge we are being sponsored by :-
Bugaboo stamps  who are offering a prize of  Prize - 7 digital images
Tickled Pink  Prize - who are offering a prize of  2 digital images

I couldn't decide whose image to use ... I love both of these stores .... so I made two cards :)

For my first card I have used this sensational Bugaboo image called Clyde Friend.  You get the gorgeous dragon image and the sentiment.  I know it is unusual for me to use a dragon (NOT!) .. I have another one of these Clyde's in my digi collection .... but I want them ALL!  He is adorable and a real pleasure to colour.

Here is a close up of the adorable Clyde.  I have coloured him in Copic Markes and used some Spica Pens on the Ladybugs spots and on Clyde's toes, tail spikes and head spike.

For my second card I used the fabulous Damon from Tickled Pink stamps ... I love these images (if you are a follower you would have seen MANY TPS images used by me).  I embossed the cardstock with a brick embossing folder ... Damon sitting on a stool and playing his guitar made me think of a grungy pub ... hence the brickwork.  Of course I have used my copics to colour Damon .... and yep there is probably a splash of spica in there too.
Below is the inside of the card ... I really like this sentiment and I think it is fitting ...
"In a world where you can be whatever you want ..... be yourself"
I think this is great advice to us all :)

Thankyou so much for stopping by .... be sure to check out the Crafting For All Seasons challenge blog and see the other DT cards .... they are just wonderful!  You are sure to be inspired.

Whoopsi Daisy ... Lace & Pearls

Wow the week has flown ... and that means that it is time for another challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy.

This week we challenge you to use Lace and Pearls.

I have used this gorgeous image from sheet 332 ... you can purchase sheets of digis from the store and there is always a freebie to play with :)

For my card I have used a die cut to cut a scalloped circle shape and then under it I have used a lace paper doily and some lovely pink card.  The stamped sentiment is from Stampin Up.  I have added some pearls in the bottom right corner ... love the colour of these! and also some on her shoes ....

This pretty girl with her lace heart cushion has been coloured using copic markers.

Thankyou so much for stopping by ..... don't forget to enter your Lace & Pearl card over at the Challenge Blog ... and while you are there you will love the rest of the Design Teams cards ...oooohhhh Lace and Pearls are such a gorgeous combination.

Stamping With The Dragon - Music

YEAHHHHHHH! Drum roll please!

He he he ..... Music!  We all love it in one form or another.  This week over at Stamping With The Dragon the current challenge theme is music ..... so many possibilities!

We are being sponsored by Kenny K ...... you just have to check out the images there!  Something for everyone!  And if you love something different, cheeky or cute ... or a combination of them all then this is the shop for you.

I have used the awesome image called Rock Dude!  I love him! and I had so much fun colouring him.

I coloured my Rock N Roll Dude using copic markers ... and some spica pens in a few areas.
The background paper is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment stamp is from Crafty Kids (now known as Kasazz).  On the sentiment stamp I used the Tim Holtz clear Distress Crackle Paint ... hmmm my first attempt and I may have used a little to much ... but I do like the effect ....

I have matted the image in the same Kaisercraft paper and then a deep brown bazzill ... hard to see in the photos.

I'm leaving this card very plain as I plan on sending it to my Father for his Birthday this month.  He love rock and roll music ... especially the Rolling Stones ... and I thought he would appreciate this image ... but he is a very 'minimalistic' person .. so I didn't want to much 'bling'.

To see some more totally awesome music themed Kenny K projects head on over to the Stamping With The Dragon challenge blog ... the Design Team's projects will 'BLOW YOUR MIND MAN'.

Thanks so much for stopping by
ROCK ON!

Whimsy Stamps - Paper Piecing

Hi, Everyone! It's Wednesday again so that means it's time for a new challenge!

Our Topic this week is

Paper Piecing

Don't forget! You don't have to use a whimsy image. It would be great if you did though, and it doesn't have to be a card. We welcome all paper projects.

Our Prize this week is

For my project this week I used a really cute stamp called
New Spring Lamb

The background patterned cardstock is from My Memories ... how cute is it!!!!
The sentiment is a stamp from Stampin Up .. I inked it up in a chocolate brown (which may be hard to see in the photo) and then I have matted it onto a blue piece and stitched around the edges (best sewing I have ever done!) and then attached that to the white base card.

Now as for this gorgeous spring lamb I printed him out on my copic colouring paper and coloured his face and feet.  Then I printed him twice more on a piece of normal paper.  I used a small 'swirl' stamp inked up in brown to make his fleece.  I cut out another set of ears and two more of the 'tuft' on his head and attached these with double sided foam.  The flowers/grass and background I tried my hardest to colour match the background.

I'm really quite pleased with this card ... and it was so quick to make!  Don't forget to head on over to the Whimsy Challenge Blog
to check out the gorgeous creations from the Design Team and of course to enter your own creation ....... you could be the winner of those digis!

Thanks so much for stopping by
looking forward to seeing what you create .....
