Hi everyone ... I hope you have had a great day. I'm feeling sleepy and full .... just finished our evening meal of a delicious casserole I made last night .... mmmmm scrumptious. Just perfect for this cold and drizzly weather.
I wanted to share with you an absolutely gorgeous card that was sent to me from a crafting friend .... Wendy from LollyDolly Crafts. She made this card for my daughter Madalyn ... when she was ill .... (the snail mail has only just delivered it LOL ..... Madalyn is all better now) ..... and Madalyn just loves it!
Wendy ... this card is so gorgeous ... thankyou so much.
Wendy also posted to me the April 2012 issue of Making Cards. Her card was featured on the front cover! and she 3 more cards featured in the magazine! Wow! I was so thrilled for my blogging/FB friend and when I shared my excitement with her she was so generous as to send me a copy of the magazine (as I couldn't find it here in Australia).
Its always so special to receive a gift and a handmade card in the mail .... thanks Wendy!
Big Hugs

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is proudly sponsoring The Squirrel and The Fox Challenges where the theme is "one for the girls".
I hope you head on over there and join in all the fun and you'll have a chance to win some Tickled Pink digis too.
I have used the sensational Lil Lolita Ivy for my card .... isn't she sweet! She's my latest addition to my ever growing Tickled Pink Stamps collection. I really enjoyed colouring her with my copics.
This gorgeous paper and ribbon is from Stampin Up and so are the gorgeous stamps. They are from a set called Kindness Matters. I'm totally in love with this set as those butterflies are just gorgeous!
I have coloured the adorable Ivy in copic markers ... she was lovely to colour and I can see her getting used a whole lot more! The doily die is from Marianne Design Craftables. I roughly cut around my image to fit it in the die. And when I say roughly .... well ... the oval wasn't great to I distressed the edges .. and that worked a treat!
Thankyou so much for stopping by :)
Big big hugs ... and remember ... kindness matters .... so your task today is not only to create a beautiful project to enter into the challenge over at The Squirrel and The Fox but also to do a random act of kindness somewhere. Come on ... you can do it .. and both will make you feel fabulous.

Whimsy Stamps - Inspirations Challenges
Hi there ..... wow May already!!! Not long now until we move houses .... I'm counting down the days believe me ... I'm totally excited.
Over at the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Blog we have a new challenge ... so be sure to check it out. There are gorgeous projects to see for the Spots and Dots theme.
I have a card to show you today but it is not using Spots and Dots .... but I have used one of the gorgeous new Digi Images that were released this month.
I have used this gorgeous image called Sparrow from Lia Stampz. My almost 3 year old daughter has been asking if we will be leaving the birds behind and the old house and if there will be birds at the new house. How cute! (not pet birds ... wild birds) We went for a drive out to the new place so she could see and was absolutely delighted to see all the cockatoos flying and screeching. We are moving out into the country so I'm sure she will see lots more birds.
Anyway .. back to the card ..... I have also used some gorgeous Whimsy paper called Blue Linen Floral. I cut out some of the flowers and used them on the corner of the image. I cut around the image using a Nellie's Mult Frame's die. (MFD029).
Be sure to check out the gorgeous cards for this weeks challenge ..... and I'll see you back next week for a new challenge and another new image.

Crafting For All Seasons - Handmade Flowers
Colour is needed! especially around here at the moment ... its dull, wet and cold ..... and its not even winter yet!
This miserable weather inspired me to make a super bright and light hearted card ........ and because the theme over at Crafting For All Seasons this challenge is HANDMADE FLOWERS ... well that made it pretty easy :)
We are being sponsored by the wonderful Bugaboo stamps ..... and they are offering our winner 7 images!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!! If you haven't been to Bugaboo before you simply MUST! ... there are so many gorgeous images and most of them are so easy to colour!
I was lucky enough to get to select an image to use .... (I already have so many because I love them, but have had my eye on this one for ages ... so yippeee!) This is Edward Elephant - Flower and you can find him here.
I coloured my image in copic markers and then used papers from my 'stash' ... the flower his cut out from the scrapbook paper and then I have used a stylus to round up the edges. This was my very first attempt at doing it .... hmmmm I think you must need some sort of moulding mat .... I ended up using my leg LOL ... but will be investing in a mat soon I think.
I absolutely adore the simplicity but total cuteness of this image. That little chick peeking around the corner of Edward's leg ... gorgeous! My Mum loves Elephants .... and bright colours .... so this will be going to her for Mother's Day.
Don't forget to head on over to the Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the Design Teams projects. I look forward to seeing your own Handmade Flower creation entered as well .... what a fabulous prize ... you want to be in the running for that!
Thankyou so much for stopping by ... I hope the day is brighter and warmer where you are ... but if not just try making a bright and happy card ... I guarantee it will lift your spirits :)
Big Hugs and bunches of flowers to you ... handmade of course :)

Whimsy New Release - May Blog Hop
ooohhhhh don't you just love the start of a new month???? There are many reasons why a new month is lovely but one of them is because there is always a new release of digi images from
The base card is a lovely deep purple and I have used a matching piece for the 'diamond border' piece. This is a Spellbinders Die from Classic Decorative Inserts Five. I have stuck on some little rhinestones to tie in the pinks. The flowers are from Kaisercraft (I think ... ). The Flourish is a Cheery Lynn Deigns Die called Tropical Flourish.
The gorgeous background paper is from a Collage Paper Pack from Pink Paislee. The Pack is called Vintage Vogue.
and another reason is because there is a Blog Hop ... which of course means lots of inspiration and some prizes....... so don't forget to go in the proper order and leave a comment on everyone's blog!
You should have arrived here from Suzi's blog ... The Manic World of Mrs Weyremaster If you get lost along the way then just head back over to the Whimsy blog for a list :)
For my card I have used this totally cute new image called Little Bear Garden Delight. As soon as I saw this little bear I just HAD to colour it. I have used Copic Markers and some Spica pens.
The gorgeous background paper is from a Collage Paper Pack from Pink Paislee. The Pack is called Vintage Vogue.
This little bear was a pure delight to colour ... so simple and so gorgeous.
Don't forget to start at the beginning of the hop .... and leave a comment on each page .... there are gorgeous projects that will truly inspire you. And of course there will be a couple of prizes to win along the way.
Your next stop will be Michelle's Blog ... Stamps, Paper & Donkey Smiles.
Thankyou so much for stopping by ... enjoy hopping.

Creative Craft Challenges - Anything Goes
Grrrrrrrrrr ...... no its not me being frustrated ..... its the animal peeking out making that noise ... see?
Over at Creative Craft Challenges this week it is ANYTHING GOES ...... yep thats right ... Anything! so lets see what you've got ........ you can enter here.
I have done a very basic card using a brand new stamp that I have. I only got it in the mail today from my good friend Shirley from Simply Stampin With Shirl. She recently introduced me to Viva Las Vegas Stamps .... and this is one of my favourites. Shirley also has a great video on how to use unmounted stamps .. you can check it out here.
I see a lot of people making candles .... and I think this would look sensational on a candle! I must watch a tutorial on how to make one.
I can tell you that this stamp is going to get a LOT of use ...... it is a great 'all rounder' and will make fabulous Masculine themed cards.
I'm looking forward to seeing your projects entered into a challenge .... over on the blog you will see some totally gorgeous creations from the rest of the Design Team .... ooooohhhh they are sensational!
Thankyou so much for stopping by ......
