Crafting For All Seasons - Stitching

Its challenge time over at Crafting For All seasons and we are challenging you to STITCH!  It can be real stitching or faux ... whatever you like ... you could even do a mixture of the two.

We are being sponsored by A day for daisies
A Day For Daisies provides themed categories of over 1000 digital illustrations, including fairy tales and magical mermaids, cutie kids, vintage illustrations, sentiments and lovely designs for all occasions!

With 3 lovely sponsors there are going to be some fabulous prizes.  So make sure you head on over to Crafting For All Seasons and enter your stitched card.

For my card I used this gorgeous image from Meljens called If Pigs Could Fly
and I tell you what Pigs will be flying when I finally finish unpacking and manage to get my craft space sorted out!  I have found my sewing machine but don't have anywhere to put it ... so I have done lots of faux stitching.

Can't wait to see your creations!

Monochrome Birthday - Creative Craft Challenges

Hello :)

Our latest challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges is Monochrome Birthday and we are being sponsored by Some Odd Girl.

I love monochrome ... now that I know what it is LOL!  Isn't it funny that until I started card making (a year ago) I didn't really know what monochrome was.  I have done a few monochrome cards now ... but always using greys or browns.

So a lovely friend of mine challenged me to use green .... so here it is ... this is for you Danie :)

I am absolutely thrilled with this card!  Lucky me .. I had a Birthday this week (9th August ... a bit ahead with my blog posting) and I was spoilt with some gorgeous craft supplies from my friend Danie.  Including the paper I have used in the background.  It is from a Kaisercraft paper pack called Antique Rose.

I was also very lucky to receive from my DH and gorgeous 3 year old daughter the whole set of Tim Holtz Distress markers!!!!  I have coloured the Sentiment using those.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up and was given to me by another gorgeous friend Shirley.

So this card is very special to me because it wouldn't have been possible without the generosity and thoughtfulness from those nearest and dearest to me.

How cute is this little image!  She is a digi image called Kiss A Prince Tia and you can find her at the Some Odd Girl Store .. here.

Thank so much for stopping by and reading my lather long post today.  I just wanted to share with you how special my friends, DH and Madalyn are.

Looking forward to seeing your creations over at the Challenge Blog.

Candy alert over at Pinkpuds

Hi fellow bloggers ...

sorry I haven't been around much this week ... have had a sick child and now I'm sick ... and today I had a sick husband home too ... oh joy!  (and yes I'm being very sarcastic... its so not fun having a husband suffering from 'man flu' whilst you are feeling utterly crap yourself).

But on a cheerier note ... I have found some lovely candy I would like to share with you ..

head on over to Pinkpuds for your chance to win ..... here.

I would LOVE to win this as she is an Australian image and would be perfect ... already have my first card and recipient worked out LOL!

Lots of Layers - Whimsy

There is a new challenge over at Whimsy Challenge Blog .... LOTS OF LAYERS!!!!
I love layers ... so much fun!

I have used the gorgeous Carnival Carousel Horse that you can find here ... it is a digi image so you can colour it straight away!

I have created my layers by cutting out the horse and mounting with double sided foam.  The shaped areas are cut using a Spellbinders Labels 17 die set and I have used a gorgeous Embossing folder throughout to tie it all in.  Some silver glitter on the raised white areas .. and voila .. lots of layers!

There are fabulous prizes always up for grabs over at the Challenge Blog .. so get your entry in for a chance to win.

Until next time ...

Vanishing gifts ......

This week Tickled Pink is sponsoring ABC Challenges and they are having the them V for Vanish.

What better image I thought  .. than the gorgeous and cheeky Lil Christmas Lolita Lilith.  She looks like she is sneaking off with these presents! or perhaps she is sneaking around to deliver them ... either way she is going to do a great VANISHING act :)

I coloured this gorgeous image using copic markers.  Kept it simple by using only C colours ... except for the sack which I coloured using R27, R29 and R59.  I really wanted to make that pop.  And of course I did colour her skin and eyes in the usual colours.

To add some sparkle I used some glitter glue on the 'white' parts of her dress and hat.

Talking about vanishing ... I must go .. but I will re-appear over at ABC to check out what you create for this challenge .. can't wait to see all the gorgeous entries.

I coloured Mae in RV17, BG49, E11 & E13 for her clothes.
Hair - C3, C5, C7

Hello there.  Are you feeling bright and bubbly today?  Well if you need a bit of a pick me up (or you just want to smile) then make sure you head on over to the CFAS challenge blog to check out the latest challenge of BRIGHT COLOURS.

We are being sponsored by Bugaboo stamps and they are supplying us with a magnificent prize!  So be sure to get your Bright Colour project in.

For my card I have used this gorgeous image called Edward Elephant - Present.

Isn't this such a cute image?  So versatile too .... I'm going to colour it in pinks for my Mum's Birthday.  August is a big month for our family as far as Birthdays are concerned and I know just the person who will love this card.   He will love the bright colours and the little chick.

Enjoy the colours and I look forward to seeing your project.
