Spring .. and Christmas is fast approaching!

Hello there :)  Are you enjoying Spring?  I got so excited yesterday as it was a gorgeous day and while I was weeding around our fruit trees I found some tiny little apricots starting to grow!  WOW!

I love spring .... but it always seems that as soon as spring is here that people start telling you how many weeks are left until Christmas ... arrggghhh!

So here is my card for you today ..... A Christmas card in spring colours ....

  I have coloured the super adorable Sunny Christmas Marci .. and you can find her in the Mad For Markers store .. here.

As you can see I have used lots of colours.  Here is the list :-

I have used some lovely paper from the Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival Collection 6x6 Paper Pad and of course some spica pens.  I have embossed some Christmas baubles to tie it all in together.

Things With Wings at Crafting For All Seasons

Well there are lots of things with wings .... so many choices!  So I went with my Grandmother's favourite .. an owl.

This was a super quick card to make as I used a lovely die from Cottage Cutz called Owl.  Super fun to make!

Anything goes at Creative Craft Challenges

Sunshine .... not here ... butterflies ... haven't seen any .... bright summery colours ... nope .... sigh ...
so I made my own!

Our latest challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges is ... ANYTHING GOES.  We are being sponsored by Bugaboo and Crafty Ribbons.

For my little project I have used these gorgeous butterflies from Bugaboo called Chubby Butterfly No. 1 and Chubby Butterfly No. 2

 I used a lovely embossing folder on the front of the card to give some texture and some strips of patterned paper down the side to break up the white.  Then I used a die cut to put a hole in the middle!  and then used the same die to do the 'insert' for inside the card.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

 Now talk about cute!  While I was trying to take photos my 3 year old daughter thought she would help by holding the card shut for me .... awwwwww .... how cute are those little hands!!

 I love colouring with red ... I find it is so effective!

My 1 Year Card Making/Blogging Birthday!

Happy Blog Birthday to me ...... Happy Blog Birthday to me ........

Ok ... well its a little late .. but hey any excuse for a celebration.  Hmmm what shall we do ... cake?  You bet! and perhaps a little give away?  Ok ... sounds good to me!

My very first Blog Post and project made with a Digi Stamp and Copic Markers was on 23rd June 2011.  You can see it here.  I entered into my very first challenge ... a Tickled Pink Christmas Challenge.

Of course I became totally hooked!  and now after more than a year I'm still colouring, creating and loving it!

I am still in love with Tickled Pink Stamps and have discovered so many more artists and stores out there that I adore!  This is an addictive craft!  but oh so good for the soul :)
