So many gorgeous images to decide from ... and by entering our current challenge you may win 4 digis of your choice from Meljen's!

I couldn't decide which image to play with .... so I used 4 of the 8 we were given to play with.  I would have loved to have had time to use them all but as you may have noticed I haven't been around much this past week.  I'm a stay at home Mum but I also work at my old job part time ... and I have been on night shift.  So alas I ran out of time.

Anyway I have waffled on enough ... here are my cards....

How sweet is this image!!!!  She is called Warm In The Snow.  For the snow I have used liquid Applique ... it gives a lovely fluffy texture.  The paper in the background actually comes with this digi!  There is more of it .. but I chopped it to fit my base card.  I inked around the background paper with a blue ink pad.

Here is a close up of the snow ... you can see that I also added some glitter glue to her hat for a bit of bling and a bit more texture.

This next image is Snowman.  He was a breeze to colour.  For the 'texture' on this card I have used some icestickles for the snow.  Icestickles give you a rough and raised glitter effect.  I have also popped a doily underneath just to break up the colours a bit.  The snowflake paper is Kaisercraft (and I inked around the outside in red ink)... but the rest of the papers are from The Paper Shelter Gothic Girl papers.

I think this one is just adorable.  She is called Cute Dressmaker.  She was so much fun to colour.  For the 'texture' on this card I have done a few things:-
1) embossed the base card through the cuttlebug
2) embossed the little flowers through the cuttlebug using the same folder as the background
3) used the sewing machine!!!!!!!  only my second time sewing on a card ... must do it more often as it's so easy.
4) some Glossy Accents on the tape measure and the shoes to make them look 'hard' and shiny
5) a rhinestone in the middle of the flower

and of course you guessed it .. I dragged the ink pad over the white cardstock to tie it all in.

So even though it is a very simple card .. there is quite a few different textures.  Digi papers also came with this image .. but I didn't use them as my colouring didn't match.  I did however use some paper from The Paper Shelter's Pepe In Love digi paper pack.

And last but not least a card using the adorable Snowmen from Meljen's.

For the 'texture' on this card I have embossed the silver circle and the light blue cardstock.  I have also used a doily and cut out an embossed snowflake.
There is also some gold glitter glue Ice Stickles on the snowmen's hats to give a little more dimension.

Don't forget to head over to Crafting For All Seasons to check out the magnificent creations from the rest of the Design Team ... they are gorgeous!

And when you are done ... get your thinking cap on and create a project with 'Texture' and you may the winner of that $20 gift card to The Paper Shelter and 4 digi images of your choice from Meljen's.

Thanks for stopping by and reading this terribly long post :)
