Fun Things To Do In The Fall (Autumn)

Good morning :)  I'm back today with some Stamping Dragon Designs images to show you.  But before I go on ... and on .... and on ... as I usually do .... I must tell you something very important!

You can get these gorgeous digis in a grab bag for only $3!!!!!!!!!  Yep $3 for an Autumn themed grab bag over at Stamping Dragon Designs.  There are other types of grab bags available as well ... so check them out.  They are awesome value!

You can see what the Design Team has created with the images over at the Stamping With The Dragon Challenge Blog ..... you will be inspired and delighted by their gorgeous creations.

So not only can you grab these gorgeous digis in a Grab Bag for only $3 but if you enter the current challenge you could also win 4 images of your choice!  The theme this week is Fun Things To Do In The Fall.

Here is my first card ... using Bushell Apples.  I adore these dragons and they are easy to colour as well!
I have used the following Copics:-
YR31 - Wings, horns and chest (and some glitter glue)
G21, G24, G28 - Body
C3, C5 - Metal on bucket and E33, E35, E37 & E47 for wood on bucket
G07, R27 & R24 - Apples

I also printed out an extra image, coloured a few of the apples and cut them out for the bottom corner.

I have finally purchased some Nesting dies!  This is my first creation with them!  I'm really pleased.  I got this set Labels Seventeen as well as a set of circles and a set of ovals.  Not many, but a start :)

My second card is using the super awesome image called Cart Ride ........
I used a plain white card and made my own 'background' by inking up a Lucy's Stamps Leaf in some Autumn colours (I used a Kaliedacolour ink pad) and randomly stamped over the base card.

It was then that I thought the image just looked to plain around the edges ... so I carefully edged around that with the same stamp and then stuck it down on a rusty red coloured card.

I'm really happy with the colouring of this dragon ... hence the close up :)
I used the following Copics for this card:-
YG93, YG95 and E41, E43 - for the larger dragon
BG93, BG96 and E43 - for the smaller dragon
YR23, BG96 and E08 for the leaves
C3, C5, C7 - wheels
E35, E37 - wagon
some clear spica pen on the dragon wings.

Don't forget to head on over to Stamping With The Dragon to check out the fantastic DT projects and then show us your creation ...... there is a great prize.  And don't forget to get a $3 grab bag!  Fantastic value!!!!

I have ink all over my hands

Good evening.  Another busy day for me today out in the garden.  My daughter and I did some more weeding and planted a few shrubs.  While I was busy pulling the grass out from around the fence Madalyn was busy giving the ants a bath.  She would pick one up and put it in a dish of water and then "it's cold now, time to get out" she would say before fishing it out with her little fingers and drying it on a towel.  She then went and put it back in the garden.  So funny!

Last night I created some background paper and tonight I put the card together.

Above is a picture of the completed card ..... using the gorgeous Tiddly Inks Druscilla. I can't remember what colours I used to colour her as I did it last night and put them away without writing it down.  The colours don't really 'blend' very well but that was kind of what I was after.

With the background card ..... what I did was used a piece of gloss white and then stamped a Penny Black Sunburst stamp in perfect medium and then used a clear embossing powder over the top.  Once the image was embossed I dripped some silver and blue ink refills over the card and then with some scrunched up plastic wrap I swirled it all around.  I also did one on black and was going to use that as well .. but she looked nice on the silver one (will save the black for another card ... probably with Tiddly Inks Cast Your Spell).

The ink took quite a while to dry so I left it overnight ......

I took this photo on a bit of an angle as you can see the 'scratched look' a bit better.

I'm really pleased with this card and would like to enter it into the following challenges:-
Tiddly Inks Challenge - #70 Silvery Blues
Crafts And Me Challenges - #58 Winter Blues

Thanks for stopping by ..... I could be MIA for a few nights.  Tomorrow night I am going to my friend Danie's house and we are going to create, eat and gossip :)  I'm really looking forward to it..... and yes I'll be leaving the little one at home (with her Dad) so it should be stress free :)

And then perhaps on Saturday and Sunday I may be working night shifts ... work has yet to ring me ... but if they do have something available I will be working ... which alas means no crafting as I will need to sleep and then go to work.  But you never know ... there may not be any shifts ..... the joys of being a casual employee (won't be going back to work full time until Madalyn is at school ... hopefully).

Anyway ... I'm waffling again .... should get going and colour ... and so should you!

See you soon

Meow

Good evening :)  I've had a busy day today ... playgroup with my little one today and she had her first ride on a pony! ... She loved it!  I held onto her as the girl led her around ... it was hard to keep up they were almost trotting!  Madalyn's little head was bouncing up and down ... but she had the biggest smile on her face.

And then later on in the day I cut the lawns and got stuck into the weeding!  It has been raining lots here and everything is overgrown.  Madalyn had fun chasing our two chooks while I was hard at work.

Isn't she just adorable ... my daughter not the chicken ha ha ha.

But here is tonight's creation

I have used a Dustin Pike image and coloured it in the following copics:-
YR04 and YR68 for the Orange areas, C00, C1, C3, C5, C7 for the black and white areas.

I cut a circle using my new Spellbinders!!!  and then embossed it through the cuttlebug with a tree folder.  Once again I got stuck for background paper so made my own.  I used a Lucy's Stamp Dotty Brush Stroke and inked it up in black ... then stamped a pattern.  Some faux stitching around the edges (I wanted to use the sewing machine but only have white thread) and a sentiment completed the card.

Was a fun image to colour.  Struggled with the oranges though as I didn't really have dark oranges that blended well ... so this was about as good as I could get it.

I would like to enter this card into the current iCopic challenge which is ... yep you guessed it .. Orange and Black.

I did complete a lovely image last night ... and tonight I tried something totally new to make my background papers ..... but I'm waiting for it to dry ... so it will have to wait until tomorrow night.

Enjoy the rest of your evening/day and thanks for stopping by.

Pumpkin - Fall Fun @ Digi Darla

Just a really quick card before I head off to bed.  I really wanted to get a card done for the current Digi Darla Fall Fun challenge ... but to be honest I'm totally over Fall (Autumn)..... it's spring here and I want to use bright colours!  But I really like this image from Digi Darla ... so I thought I would do a quick card.

I coloured the image using copic markers and then made my own background paper by stamping a Lucy's Stamp called Lines.  I inked it up in different colours and first went one way and then the other to give a gingham effect.

Not sure if my orange base card is the right colour .... but I have been doing so many Autumn themed cards that I hardly have any orange left!

It actually looks better in real life ... it looks a bit dull in this photo.  This would make a nice masculine card I think.

Anyway ... got to get to bed ... I'm having a Tupperware party first thing in the morning!  What was I thinking!  I've got to tidy the house, get my little one organised (no easy task to get a 2 year old ready quickly), ice the sponge I made today etc etc ........  anyway ... it's something different :)

xoxoxoxo until next time

Masculine

Good evening fellow bloggers :)  I hope you are well.

My printer has given up!  It's a terrible terrible terrible thing!  Not long ago we purchased this 'continuous ink' supply thing which has been terrific and we have heaps of ink in reserve and extra bottles .... and now the printer has died!  I know they are not that expensive to buy new .... but this model is no longer available ... which wouldn't be a problem if we didn't have a couple of hundred dollars worth of ink sitting here waiting to be used!  Arrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

So in my frustration I created a card ... thankfully had this image already printed!  I really wanted to do a DT card for Stamping With The Dragon tonight .... have a lovely new image I wanted to colour ..... oooohhhh you are going to love it!  But you will have to wait until next week to see it ... he he he .....

Ok ... so anyway this is tonight's creation.

This is my first monochromatic image!  What do you think?  I enjoyed colouring it .. even though I had no idea what I was doing!  I only used three copics ... C00, C1 and C3 and when I got to the hair my C3 started running out and I don't have a re-inker for it yet ... but just managed to finish thankfully.  He is a Tickled Pink digi stamp called Lil Lad Stefan.

I used a black base card and then some paper I found in my stash ... I think it is Kaszazz paper.  Used some orange card down the bottom and ran it through an embossing folder in the Cuttlebug.

My dear friend suggested I used Twine!  wow .. twine .. this sounds exciting .... but sadly I don't have any and I like to complete a card in one sitting (otherwise I get distracted and start colouring another image) ... so no twine meant that I had to use ribbon.

Note to self ..... buy some twine!

When I put it all together it seemed to be very plain and even though that's my middle name (not really ...) I wanted to try something a little different.  So I got out a Tangerine coloured ink pad and a piece of sponge and dabbed it all around the outside of the paper and cardstock.  Looking better ... but the image then looked to stark.  So using the same technique I went around the outside of the image.

And what you see above is the end result.  I'm happy with it ... and am going to give it to my Nephew next month for his 15th Birthday!  Yippeeeeeee ... now I've just got to think of what to get him for a gift.

Ok well I have really waffled on tonight ... thanks for sticking with me ... can totally understand if you skimmed through though :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-
Tickled Pink Challenge #42 - Masculine
Some Odd Girl Challenge - Black and White
Paper Crafting Journey - Black, White, Orange colour challenge

Anyone for a cupcake?

Hi there :)  ooohhhh I would love a cupcake!  mmmmm a chocolate one with some coffee icing .. just like the one on the card below.

It is very hard to see in the photo but I have used a gold and a lovely deep red cardstock.  This card is so thick and sparkly ... really gorgeous!  I found it in my stash, had been saving it for something really special.  I think the simplicity of this image combined with the gorgeous richness of the card really compliment each other.

I coloured this cute Meljen's cupcake in the following Copics:-
R46, R59, E37, E29, E11, E13 and then spica pen on the ribbon and stars.  The candle is using the same reds and then C00 for the white area, and the flame is Y00, Y17, YR16.

Meljen's current challenge is Red and Gold ... so here is my creation for the challenge.  Clicking on my header will take you to the Meljen's challenge blog :)

Thanks for stopping by :)  I think tomorrow I will be baking some cupcakes!

Getting Jiggy with it ....

Hi there.  Do you want to know something?  I find it really hard to think of titles for my posts ..... so if they are a bit wacky ..... you understand why.

Today's card is a ...... DRAGON!!!!  yep no suprises there ... but guess what?  no purple in sight :)  Ha ha ha.

I have used Jiggy with Leaves from Dragons Den Designs.  I love Jiggy .... that gorgeous look on his face ... and he is wonderful to colour.

Talking about colour:-
YG11, YG13 for his lighter areas
G14, G07 for the darker areas
YG23 for his wings
YR23, YG95 and E08 for the leaves
and some Ice Stickles in Crystal Ice (glitter glue)

Thanks for stopping by .... don't forget to check out the rest of the Design Teams projects over at Stamping With The Dragon .... just click on my silly header :)

A card for a baby girl

Good evening .... been a big day today!  Walk to playgroup, playgroup, walk home, make homemade pizzas for lunch, tidy up, and then off for a drive and a visit to the beach.  But when we got to the beach it poured with rain!  Well there was no stopping my little girl she still wanted to walk on the beach and collect shells.  So that is what we did :)  She should sleep well tonight and the seagulls should as well ... there was a lot of chasing going on.

I have coloured up this gorgeous little image from Digi Darla in copic markers.  The colours I used were:-
RV21, RV23 for the body suit
E000, E00 and R20 for the skin
YR23, Y28 for the hair
C00 for the cloud.

Would be a great image for baby shower invites, christening invites etc. because she was so quick to colour and looks so sweet.

The chipboard sentiment is gorgeous! and is from a set by Bella Chipz.

The card below was my first attempt at putting together the card.  I swished pastel coloured inkpads over some white cardstock to get a lovely effect and then stamped the sentiment.  I wasn't happy with the colour of the sentiment so I went over the top with a pink Souffle pen ... but it just didn't look right.  So that's why we now have the above card :)  Thought I would show you anyway.

I would like to enter my project into the following challenge:-
iCopic Challenge #52 Baby

And some other exciting news ...... look what I got!!!!!!

I'm so excited!  I got Classic Ovals Large, Classic Circles Large and Labels Seventeen!  I have just had a quick go (through my Cuttlebug) and they are really great.  Would have liked the Ovals and Circles to be bigger ... but oh well.  I ordered them online so I actually didn't get to see them first ... but I still love them!  Can't wait to start creating with them.

Ok ... better go and colour some more before it's time for bed.

Thanks for stopping by.

Purple is back ... with s splash of green ....

Hello :)  I have two cards for you today ..... both purple :)

My first card is using an absolutely adorable image from Pink Cat Studio called Fancy Cake Cat.  I have coloured her in Copics :-
YG03, YG06 - cake and apron
V06 - purple areas
YR04, YR65, YR68 - flowers
C3, C5, C7 - Black areas
and of course I have used spica pens everywhere!  although you can't see them on the photo :(

I used a lovely deep purple for the base card and a sensational lime green under the image.  I found a piece of rick rack (I think that's what it's called ... squiggly ribbon stuff) that matched perfectly (Bonus!) and then stuck some light green flowers on top.  Some little orange diamond blingy things tied it all together.

I loved colouring this image!  It was so much fun and the colour combos you could use would make it suit any theme.

My second card is using an image from Just Some Lines and it's called Little Witch 1.  She is so cute and I love the little cat poking out from behind her.  This was also a lovely image to colour and quite quick.

I coloured her using the following copics:-
Y17, Y38, YR23 - Hair
V12, V15, V17 - Dress
C1, C3, C5, C7 - Hat and Cat
a gold spica pen for the moon and purple spica pen for the stars

I have used a black base card and then a piece of scrapbooking paper from my offcut pile.  Handcut the ovals ... can't wait for my Nesting Dies to arrive!!!  I ordered a set of circles and a set of ovals .... yippeeeeee!

I hope you like my cards ... I had heaps of fun making them and always love getting new images.  If you like these images you should head on over to the Crafting For All Seasons Blog because for the latest challenge you could win 5 Digis from Pink Cat Studios or a $15 Gift Card from Just Some Lines!  Oooooohhhh wouldn't you just love this prize?

So head on over and enter your Halloween Themed or Colour Themed (Purple, Lime Green, Orange, Black) project and while you are there check out the gorgeous creations from the Design Team.

Enjoy

Happy Halloween ..... in purple

Good afternoon .... I'm typing really quickly because any minute now Madalyn is due to wake up ... so I hop it all makes sense ha hah ha.

I have used this gorgeous Tiddly Inks image called Toasting Properly.  It's my first attempt at colouring her and although it's not perfect ... I'm happy enough.

I have cut a shaped card .. just by drawing from a template and then cutting with scissors ... so it's a little rough in places.  As you can see it opens in the middle and the inside of the card is a lighter purple.

Oh no ... she woke up!

Ok it's hours later and she is now in the bath ... which I have delegated to her father and I'm supposed to be cleaning up the dishes but I just thought I would finish this :)

I coloured this gorgeous girl in the following Copics:-
V12, V15, V17 - purple areas of dress
YR04 - orange under her dress and tiara
YG00, YG06 - green areas
E33, E35, E37 for her hair
I have used some spica pen here and there as well ... got to work out a way to show this in the pictures!

As we don't really celebrate Halloween here in Australia this is my take on the spooky theme ...... well hopefully will be back tonight :)  Bye for now.

Would like to enter into the following challenges:-

A little birdie told me ...

Good evening.  Thank you so much to all those who left me lovely comments and wishes to get well soon .... It must have worked because today I woke up feeling much much better!

Busy day today ... and so didn't get a chance to do much craft ... so just a quick card.

I've used a cute little Digi image from Digi Darla Stamp Club and am going to pop it on her challenge blog here.  This challenge ends very soon .... but there is a new one up as well.  You get free images to enter these challenges so I already feel like a winner.  Although I must tell you that this wasn't one of the freebies ... but the freebies are really cute still.

Anyway .... got to run ... promised the Husband that I would watch a TV show with him ... so here is my card :)

The challenge was Blue & Brown ....lovely combo I think.

Oh and here is my latest attempt at drawing digi stamps ..... nah only joking!  My daughter Madalyn drew this on her Magna Doddle board today and I quickly snapped a photo before she erased it.  She's only 2 .. but I think she draws awesome faces!  She said it was Humpty Dumpty ... and I reckon it's a great portrait of Humpty!

She had her ultrasounds today and we are off for an early Doctors appointment in the morning to get the results and to see what happens next.  The sonograph person was lovely and said that all looked normal ... so that eased my mind considerably.

Ok gotta go .... otherwise I'll have an upset Husband :)

Bye for now

White with a dash of colour

Ok .. yeah I know I said I was going to bed ... but I thought I would just quickly get this card completed and posted .... and now it's 9.30pm!  so much for my early night!

So very quick post .....

Lots of glitter!!!! I have glitter everywhere now .....

I have used the absolutely gorgeous Lil Kelita from Tickled Pink stamps.  I was so lucky and won the whole release a while back!  I have them in rubber .... which I preferred at the time but now I realise that digi are a lot more versatile I tend to purchase most of my stamps as Digis.

Talking about Tickled Pink Stamps if you head over there they are having their 2nd Birthday celebration with a blog hop ... and you could win a prize!  I have my fingers crossed as there are 1 or 2 images I don't have that I would love.

The fancy edge around the outside of the card I painted with white acrylic paint and while it was still wet I sprinkled it with glitter.
A paper flower with some glitter glue in the middle.

An embossed background with a little bit of random glitter glue to add some sparkle.

A gorgeous piece of ribbon that I picked up at the local op shop!

I would like to enter this card into the latest Tickled Pink Challenge - #41 White on White

ok I'm really going to bed now ... I'm sure a good nights rest will do me good and hopefully I will feel much better in the morning.

Bon Voyage

No unfortunately I'm not going on holiday ... although I really could do with one.

I'm not a well girl today ... have been in my PJ's all day with a bucket next to me ...sigh ..... but I'm feeling a little better this evening and thought I would complete this card and get it entered into a challenge.

It's been a long day ... very hard when you are sick but still have a terror tot to look after.  Although I must admit my gorgeous daughter did behave herself quite well.  She tucked the blanket around me and kept wanting to kiss my tummy 'all better'.  Such a sweetie.

I coloured this gorgeous Tiddly Inks Aidan last night ... in the following copics:-
Suit - E71. E74. E77
Hat, Shoes - E43
Hat band, vest, tie - BG93, BG96
Hair - YR23, Y28, E33

The ship stamp in the background is a Lucy's Stamp Tall Ship ... I love this stamp ..... and when I was thinking about a boys card .. this is what came to mind.

Anyway that's probably it from me tonight ... going to try and get some sleep ... big day tomorrow for my little one as she has an ultrasound and doctors appointment and perhaps a swimming lesson in the morning (depending on how I feel) ..... so goodnight and I look forward to coming back to share something else with you soon.

I would like to enter the delightful Aidan into the following challenges:-

Dragon alert!

Back so soon :)  I coloured this little beauty the other night .... and just completed the card now.

I am so in love with this image .. he is from Stamping Dragon Designs  and if you are a follower you will know that I'm lucky enough to be on the Design Team there ... and you will also know that I LOVE DRAGONS!

I really wanted to challenge myself with colouring him this time, and I always struggle with red so that's why I chose it.

I just love the questioning look on his face .. he is just lovely.
I coloured him in the following Copic Markers:-
Wings - R14 and then some glitter glue
Body (light areas) R20, R22 and then over the top with C1 just to 'dull' it a bit
Body (dark areas) R24, R27, R29
Leaves - YR13, YG95, E08

The base card is a gorgeous green shimmer bazzill cardstock and I stamped a lovely leaf stamp with a red ink pad to make my own background.

I'm really pleased with this card and to be honest I don't think I want to pass it on ... I think he will sit on my desk for a long time :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog - #174 Falling Leaves

ok got to go now ... got lots more colouring to do :)
See you soon .....

Let It Snow ... let it snow ... let it snow .....

Good evening .... I hope you are well :)

Tonight I have for you a handsome little Meljen's reindeer.  I have also used a Meljen's tree and sentiment .... how cute are they!

Very simple card as I've got a bit of a production line going on this one .... I am going to make all my own Christmas cards this year ... and this lucky one has made the cut.  So I'm going to make about 4 more.  I will need about 50 cards this year so I thought if I pick 10 and do 5 of each then that will be easier.

Will see how I go ...... I want to keep them simple otherwise I won't get time to do them all.

Anyway here he is ....

I ran a green inkpad around the edges of the images ... to keep it looking 'rustic' and to give a bit more colour.

The always wonderful Crystal Ice Icestickles have made my snow sparkle ... the bottle is almost empty!  Will have to get some more ..... especially with all the Christmas images I will soon be colouring.

I am going to enter this card into the latest Meljen's Challenge - Use a ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by .... hope to see you again soon.

Creative Craft Challenges - Congratulations! 2nd Anniversary

Woo hooo!!!  It's Creative Craft Challenges 2nd Anniversary ..... Congratulations!

This calls for a celebration .... let there be cake, balloons, streamers, music, dancing and craft!

I have used a gorgeous Meljen's Party Penguin on my Congratulations card.  Isn't this the cutest penguin you have ever seen?

As per usual I have created a fairly basic card as I just love the image and want that to be the stand out factor.

I have layered bright coloured bazzill cardstock and coloured little Party Penguin to match.  The Party Time paper is from a back that I got from our local K-Mart store.  The balloon brads were white and I coloured them with copic markers (isn't that cool that you can match your embellishments by doing this!) and then put some glitter on top to make them sparkle.  The ribbon under the balloons is just your usual run of the mill foil ribbon stuff that you can use for gift wrapping.

I was also lucky enough to get another image for this celebration ... a Stampin Botique image.  I used Kaiserscrapbooking papers once again and copic markers to colour my image.  I used the following colours E35, E37 for her hair.  BG01, BG05 for her dress and E53 at the bottom.  V91, 93, 95 for the table and chair.  E11 & E13 for the Latte cup and E000, 00, 02 for her skin.

Head on over to Creative Craft Challenges and check out the gorgeous creations from the Design Team .... and then get creating your own Congratulations card because there are some fantastic prizes to be won including ..... a  £10 voucher from LOTV
                        Meljens - digi images,
Joanna Sheen - A set of three tales of the ocean stamps
sjpapercrafts - prize to be determined

Looking forward to seeing what you create :)

xoxoxox Carly

I would also like to enter my second card into the Blue and Brown Challenge over at Digi Darla
