Fall Flowers/Pumpkins

Welcome to another 'Fall/Autumn' inspired card.

Over at Crafting For All Seasons the current challenge is Fall Flowers/Pumpkins.  For this challenge we are being sponsored by Fred She Said Designs.  Head over there and check out the absolutely gorgeous digi stamps, SVG cutting files, pricking patterns and more!

I chose this lovely Pumpkin with Sunflowers as I think it suited the challenge perfectly.  When you purchase this digi you get both coloured and BW versions.  I have coloured this image using copic markers in the following colours:-
YR23, E35, E37 - centre of sunflowers
Y02, Y06, Y15, Y17 - flower petals
G12, G24, G28 - leaves
G21, G24, G28 - pumpkin stalks
Y17, Y38 and YR16 - pumpkins

For the yellow and orange mats (is this the correct terminology? I have no idea) and the leaves I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle paints.  I wanted an earthy/rustic look but it didn't really turn out the way I had hoped but I think it still looks 'natural'.  The leaves were cut using a die through the cuttlebug.  A few faux stitching lines drawn around the outside and done.  I stuck the leaves on with foam tape because I liked the way they curled up.

So head on over to Crafting For All Seasons and check out the rest of the DT cards ... they have made lovely creations to help inspire you to create your own Pumpkin or Fall Flowers card.  There is a $20 Gift Card to Fred She Said for the winner of this challenge .... but you've got to be in it to win it :)  Have fun creating your project.
