Owlette and her Owl

Good evening :)  I hope you have had a splendid day ... it was lovely and sunny here and I spent a lot of today outside with my 2 year old daughter.   Aaahhh I love the sunshine.

And I love making cards!  So here is tonights effort.

I have used this absolutely gorgeous Tiddly Inks digi image called Owlette.  I purchased her as part of a set .. that I'm so totally in love with.

I changed her a little though by drawing in some lines on her skirts.  I had never done this before and am quite pleased with the result.  I'm absolutely thrilled with the owl .. I think he turned out perfectly!

I coloured the image using copics ... can't remember what colours for the owl but it was mainly Es and a bit of blue in his eyes, I just fiddled until I was happy and with the lady I used a mixture of reds and C's.  I'm sorry but I put them away without thinking!  Usually I type my post and then put my markers away .. oooppsssss.

I found some paper in my stash of a brick wall ... it reminded me of a school environment and I painted a Chipboard Letter with Tim Holtz Crackle paint in a very light green.  I have had this paint for ages! and never used it ... so out it came and its very very thick .. perhaps because its so old or maybe its supposed to be like that.  I love the result!  will be using it again I'd say :)

So this lovely Owlette lady is teaching us that 'O' is for 'Owl'.

Thanks for visiting and checking out my card.  Enjoy the rest of your blogging.
